Analise De La Roca

Pitching Coach

Analise joins our program having just finished her illustrious softball career at Howard University in 2022.  There she rejoined with her former pitching coach now head softball coach Tori Tyson and led the Bisons to their first regional appearance since 2007. She pitched 14 straight innings in the MEAC conference tournament to receive honors for MVP and first team honors.

Before arriving at Howard, Analise played for the Aggies at New Mexico State from 2018-2020. While at New Mexico State she made 32 appearances as a freshman and also helped the Aggies to compete in postseason play.

During Analise’s high school career at Port of Los Angeles she set the CIF-Los Angeles City Section single-season record with 408 strikeouts in 197 innings pitched as a junior. She was also named CIF-Los Angles City Section Co-Pitcher of the Year, Daily Breeze South bay All-Area first-team member, San Pedro News Pilot prep softball player of the year and Coliseum League Player & Pitcher of the Year. She also led the Polar Bears to  three-straight league titles and a whopping 89-18 record…posted a 26-4 record in the circle as a junior with a 0.43 earned runs average with an eye-popping 20 shutouts, 5 no-hitters and two perfect games while batting .521 at the plate with an .840 slugging-percentage.

In her early softball career days Analise played for the well known and respected Marty and daughter Tori Tyson of the Corona Angels. There she established her craft in becoming a full-time pitcher throughout high school. Making full circle in her career by reuniting with Tori Tyson during her early days in softball to competing for her at Howard allowed Analise to appreciate the value of lifelong mentorship and recognized how softball is much more than just a sport she played its a family.

Analise wants to educate the new generation of softball players by teaching them how not only is the physical component important but the mental and emotional aspects that are often overlooked. She goes on to mention;  “Getting there physically is one thing, but the mental side of the game is where I want to help build and allow girls to thrive!.”

Analise will be attending graduate school at  USC this fall 2022, where she will be majoring in Communications Management.
